Nicole's disease course

I can't really remember the beginning. In 2002 I had a part-time job at a cash register. At some point I got a lot of pain when I had to drag heavy things over the scanner.

One day at work I was in so much pain that it pulled into my shoulder. Then I'll go to the doctor. The nurse then made me stupid that you don't wait that long with something like that and that's why I would have to wait now. The doctor then gave me a splint and said it was a tendonitis. I then had the splint for 10 days. But then it wasn't any better. I then explained to the doc that it couldn't be tendinitis (I did an apprenticeship as a hotel specialist and used to have tendinitis a lot).

He didn't believe me and I stupidly left it at that for the time being.

After about 9 months he finally sent me to MRI where the diagnosis was made.

Then in September 2003 the spoke was shortened in the hospital. Unfortunately it was too late.

In March 2004, I was back in the hospital to have the plate removed. I didn't know then that it was getting worse and worse. My doctor at the time did not check the course, but rather whether the spoke was growing together well.

In the hospital they sent me home after all the examinations in the evening because they had no hand surgeons there and said removing the plate made no sense because more had to be done on the hand.

Then I went to see another doctor who was completely horrified. Then recommended a great professor in Ulm to me, and I was with her.

I was operated on again on January 13, 2005. This time a piece of pelvic bone was placed in the hand and a partial stiffening was carried out.

I hope that I will continue to be pain-free as far as possible. Otherwise I get along quite well with it.
